Logistics Ordering Specialist

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has an immediate need to employ residents of Baton Rouge, LA as temporary local hires to assist with disaster response and recovery efforts. Local hire employees are local residents who aid in the recovery of the community and help their fellow citizens in the recovery process. Apply for this exciting opportunity!

FEMA is seeking candidates with experience in ordering.
In this position, you will take and place orders for equipment, services, and commodities. 
Typical assignments include:
  • Submitting requests for supplies, equipment, personnel, teams, services, or commodities using FEMA-approved systems.
  • Tracking requests, monitoring and placing orders, tracking shipping status, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintaining vendor contract files and associated paperwork.
  • Assisting with determining the best sources for procurement.
