Technical Writer (Fresh Graduates Welcome)
Job Introduction:
Write, edit, index, and revise a variety of technical documentation such as articles, reports, brochures, guides, and manuals for a wide range of uses. Collaborate with programmers, engineers, product managers, and other subject matter experts to gather the necessary information for documentation and ensure the accuracy and completeness of technical documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation for hardware and software. Documentation includes (but is not limited to) quick setup guides, ordering guides, and reference guides that include screen captures, tables, lists, and graphics.
- Present complex information in clear, concise, and direct language. Break down procedures into clear and simple steps.
- Support quality assurance assemble documentation for audits and ensure that documentation is compliant with federal regulations.
- Research and evaluate new documentation tools and methods to improve the documentation process.
- Maintain documentation standards and keep abreast of current information by associating with professional individuals or societies or by reviewing professional publications, newsletters, e-mails, and websites.
- Develop documentation project plans and timelines.
- Provide presentations and training to department members and external organizations.
- Assist marketing, technical support, and other departments with documentation.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Communications, Communications, or related fields.
- This is a writing intensive position; strong composition skills are required.
