Position: SITE PLANNER II (Multiple Positions)
Salary: $57,403 Annually

Location: 2300 N. Jog Road, WPB
Hours: 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday - Friday
Other: Valid Florida Driver’s License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.
Performs professional site planning work. Reviews various types of proposals and applications for land development permits such as site plans, re-zonings, planned developments, conditional/requested uses, variances, special permits, subdivisions and plats. Reviews preliminary development plans and master sign plans, landscape plans, vegetation protection plans, code text amendments and related plans and documents. Work is performed with relative independence on technical matters within the scope of professional site planning methods and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision of a Principal Site Planner or Senior Site Planner and is reviewed through reports, conferences and by results obtained.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Regional Planning, Urban Design, Geography, Public Administration, Engineering, Architecture or closely related field; minimum of two (2) years of related experience with design review and enforcement of land development codes and ordinances, the majority of which should be within a government agency OR Related Master's Degree and one (1) year of related experience. Equivalencies: Unrelated Bachelor's Degree OR Related Associates Degree and four (4) years of related experience OR Unrelated Associate's Degree and eight (8) years of related experience.
PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE WITH: Conducting oral presentations; enforcing the Palm Beach County’s (PBC’s) ULCD; using MS Office Suite/Outlook/SharePoint or electronic Planning, Zoning and Building (ePZB) database systems (must specify on application). Knowledge of Zoning Division policies and procedures; site plan and design principles; ePZB Application Submittal and Comment screens (must specify on application). Also desirable: Current membership with the American Institute of Landscape Architects, American Institute of Certified Planners or American Institute of Architects.
