QVC Intern - Corporate Responsibility - Spring 2021

You must either be a junior, senior, or graduate student to qualify. Recent graduates will not be considered.
Your Impact
  • Repurpose and manage ESG (environmental, social and governance) data already collected to submit responses to additional ESG Ratings & Rankings frameworks; help in facilitating new data requests and keeping all data organized and easily accessible; follow-up and follow-through on any additional data requests in order to submit questionnaires in a timely manner

  • Provide administrative support for Corporate Responsibility Work Groups in the following areas: Sustainable Packaging, Energy Efficiency, Waste Reduction and Ethical Sourcing; support involves managing meeting invites, preparing meeting agendas and materials, documenting and distributing comprehensive meeting minutes and following-up on any required action items

  • Track all CR stories published on both internal and external communication platforms (i.e. team member intranet, corporate website, social channels, press releases, etc.) in a consolidated editorial calendar; ensure updated CR key messages are used whenever possible; develop and track key metrics associated with CR storytelling such as number of stories told, by pillar, brand or market, etc. and keep track of future story ideas in central location

  • Assist in preparing for CR Leadership Team and CR Executive Steering Committee meetings by managing changes to meeting agendas, pre-reads and presentations; document meeting minutes and track meeting follow-ups and action items as needed

  • Assist in the development of Qurate Retail Group’s first-ever Corporate Responsibility Report/Contribution Summary including content, images, infographics and communication roll-out for both internal and external audiences

  • Research best practices, benchmarking and industry trends for various CR topics, as assigned. 

  • Support the promotion and execution of CR plans and initiatives, as needed
 
What You Bring
  • Education: Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's Degree program in public affairs/ public administration, communication, business or other related concentration, from an accredited college or university. Any specialized training or curriculum focus in corporate responsibility or sustainability preferred.

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, particularly as it relates to data management

  • Keen resourcefulness and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels across the company 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently

  • Exercise high-level thinking and excellent judgment in the execution of responsibilities

  • Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information

  • The desire and commitment to pursue a career in Corporate Responsibility, Environmental Sustainability, Community Relations or Communications

  • Prior experience and knowledge of graphic design a plus, particularly as it relates to depicting technical information and metrics in a visual manner
