POSITION SUMMARY:           
This is an Adjuster Trainee position established to build the skill set to advance to an Auto Liability Adjuster position. This position is intended to develop skills for investigating, evaluating, negotiating and resolving claims on losses of lesser value and complexity. Provides quality claim handling throughout the life of a claim

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Completes and successfully passes Basic Training Course. The Adjuster Trainee must maintain a passing average in all formal courses that have been developed for the individual. Must prepare for any State Licensing exams required to fulfill licensing requirements in the states to be handled.  Our Basic Training Course is a combination of virtual, online and classroom learning. The training may require travel to one of our Training Center of Excellence facilities. The training course will provide the basics or coverage and liability assessment. Once done with training the trainee will practice these skills through the handling of lesser value and complexity claim files under the strict supervision of a team manager and or mentor. A trainee receives a controlled number of new losses daily in order to build the necessary skill set for next level advancement.  

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years equivalent professional experience required
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient typing/computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus
