HR-Education intern

Citi Foundation HR Intern


Under the supervision of PAMM’s Citi Foundation Internship Coordinator, the Human Resources-Education Intern will assist with the administration of the Museum Management Internship program by performing tasks such as (depending on student’s qualifications and interest): develop educational content for professional development, design marketing and digital engagement for human resources initiatives, assist in recruiting activities, populate HR systems, etc. As a participant of PAMM’s Museum Management Internship Initiative, the intern will also be asked to learn about non-profit leadership and perform some tasks pertaining to human resource management such as editing job descriptions, format training presentations, record instructional videos, work on employee engagement, etc. This would be the perfect position for someone interested in the fields of Human Resources, Instructional Design, Education, or Marketing. Strong English composition skills and graphic design or video editing skills are an asset in this position. 
Once a month, all PAMM interns will take networking field trips to neighboring cultural organizations to hear from their administrators about various institutions’ practices. They will also have the opportunity to network with PAMM employees and learn about career paths through brown bag lunch meetings.
The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Internship will provide an active training ground for participants to gain new skills and knowledge of arts administration to apply to future employment in museums and cultural institutions.
*Note that the internship will start remotely for employees’ safety but may move to a hybrid format (some remote work, some site work). This is a paid internship opportunity. 

Requirements: 
  • Students pursuing a degree in Education, Technology, Human Resources, Graphic Design, or related fields.
  • Strong interest in education, career development, and non-profit administration.
  • Excellent English composition and editing skills (formatting and standardizing).
  • Attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Can work on multiple projects at a time and prioritize
  • Comfortable working at a quick pace and managing their own time and tasks.
  • Flexibility and curiosity with assignments.
  • Pride and initiative in one’s work.
  • Computer skills and ability to learn (collection management system).

Learning Outcomes:
  • Students will explore instructional design by building, presentations, and various educational resources for PAMM’s internship programs.
  • Students will gain insight into the process of recruiting staff and building skills within a company’s human resources.
  • Students will gain an understanding of the planning process involved in managing an internship program.
  • Students will gain an understanding of the planning process involved in managing a leadership readiness program.

Physical Demands:
  • Finger dexterity to pick up paper and use computer keyboard
