Summer Videographer/Photographer

Are you a media/arts student looking for a fun environment to put your videography or photography skills to use? North Star Camp in Wisconsin is looking for individuals with experience in either or both areas for the coming summer!
North Star is a tremendous community and recording our history is an important part of maintaining our traditions and helping spread the word. We're looking for a videographer who can shoot footage through out the summer and then edit that footage into videos. Videos will include several 1-2 minute videos that will be shared throughout the summer via social media and also used for promotional purposes. Our videographer also creates a 30 minute video highlighting our entire summer.
The camp photographer will take pictures all summer long. They'll shoot a variety of action, candid, posed and scenery pictures to be shared daily via social media as well as to be used on our website.
Videographer and photographer positions can be held by the same person if they have the necessary skills. This is a great opportunity to use your creative abilities to add to your own portfolio as well.
North Star pays a very competitive summer salary, reimburses for travel expenses and will also pay to put staffers through various certification courses.
In addition to salary food and lodging is provided for all staff throughout their term of employment and also have their travel reimbursed.
Important Note re: COVID-19
North Star Camp operated successfully during the summer of 2020. Our residential summer camp operated with campers and staff. We expect to be fully operational again in 2021. Operating amidst a pandemic requires putting into place comprehensive protocols aimed at keeping all campers and staff healthy and safe while also ensuring that our program is meaningful and fun. These protocols added additional layers of health and safety procedures and also placed some limitations on all members. We anticipate that many of these protocols will be in place in 2021 to ensure that we are protecting every participant and staff member. As part of our hiring process, every prospective staff member will be provided with our COVID protocols to ensure that they understand how they will be a part of keeping our community healthy.
All candidates are subject to a background check. We are a smoke free environment and all staff members must be able to pass a drug screening at the start of the summer.
