RLA Collective, Ruder Finn's integrated marketing division, is seeking an Executive Trainee to assist across all client and interagency accounts. This person should have an interest in brand storytelling with a digital-first approach, and want to understand the lifecycle of a campaign, from ideation to execution to results (metrics). Position Overview:
Ruder Finn’s 12-week Executive Training program offers a unique opportunity for recent college graduates to work in a fast-paced environment and learn from some of PR’s best and brightest practitioners. Executive Trainees gain hands-on experience as integral members of account teams working full-time, attending bi-weekly Lunch & Learn sessions on the fundamentals of PR, and participating in other educational and social activities.

Ruder Finn Group and RLA Collective are a dynamic and energetic group of communications professionals who place a high priority on problem-solving skills, ingenuity and imagination to help clients achieve real business results. Applicants must be passionate about exploring a career in public relations and must be skilled in relationship-building, teamwork, meticulous in their attention to detail, able to juggle multiple assignments, as well as understand the urgency of deadlines. Above all, candidates must have superior writing skills.

The Executive Trainee for RLA Collective will work with our team to:  

  • Draft/ideate on content with the team, help in scheduling approved social content
  • Set up social ads with supervisor assistance (across various channels, from FB, IG, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest and more)
  • Assist with launching of social sweepstakes, winner selection, winner announcement, and prizing
  • Assist with Amazon content development and pull monthly Amazon competitor sales data via third party platform access
  • Stay updated on current industry updates and frequently share with team in relevance to account work
  • Assist with competitive/category research for new client and new business development  
  • Assist with influencer research
  • Assist in reporting/pulling metrics
Executive Trainees are selected on talent, creativity, and passion, and are not required to have prior experience in the field. The agency hires many of the program’s best graduates to fill Assistant Account Executive positions.

Additional Information:

  • ETs must be available to work full-time, 40 hours/week, with eligibility for overtime
  • ET Program starts in June 2021
  • ETs will be considered for Assistant Account Executive openings upon completion of the Executive Training Program
