WHAT Our StoreAssistant and Nanny Does
The Store Assistant and Nanny serves at camp behind-the-scenes in a dual position that combines two part-time roles. First is to provide basic child care functions with staff children aged less than 1 year - 8 years of age. The second is performing a retail function assisting the Store Manager to lead campers in running sales at camp, and organizing and counting inventory.
- Engage and lead high school aged campers in operating camp store. This may include counting, restocking, and organizing inventory, running the POS system, and assembling camper care packages or store displays.
- Assist the Store Manager in meeting camp store financial goals.
- Consistently seek opportunities to minister to and encourage campers and full-time staff kids in their relationship with the Lord.
- Provide high-quality child care for children aged less than 1 year old through 8 years old.
- Be on time for all meetings, meals, and scheduled rotations, while being flexible to any last-minute changes that are assigned by leadership staff.
- Prepare throughout the week and come ready for an in-depth discussion in staff Bible study.

- YOU DON'T CONFUSE HIGH ENERGY WITH ENTHUSIASM. Not that high energy is bad,but you recognize true, contagious enthusiasm moves past high energy and into passion and authenticity. And you use this distinction as you engage with your campers and fellow staff.

- YOU'RE ADAPTABLE. You're quick to bounce back and think of creative solutions when challenges arise. Even more, you're able to adjust to new or unexpected conditions, changing schedules, and unknowns, and modify your plans or expectations.
Legal Job Requirements
- You're 18 years old or older (or will be by May of 2021).
- You believe in and are willing to adhere to the Statement of Faith of The Navigators.
- You can pass a background check.
- You can legally work in the United States.
- You're CPR/First Aid certified or you're willing to get certified before the summer.
Preferred Experience
- You have Customer Service experience. May include (but is not limited to) retail, food service, or office setting.
- You have babysitting or nannying experience.
