Copyright Coordinator (Classical Music)

As the Copyright Coordinator (Classical Music), you will be responsible for handling all print permission and arrangement requests from intake, to approval, to license and receipt of payment. Tracking the process in an excel database. This role will specifically be working with our classical music publishing catalogue. The ability to read music is a must.
- Checking for new arrangement requests
- Emailing request forms to requestors
- Creating Permission licenses for arrangements, lyric reprints for novels & textbooks, musical reprints for novels & textbooks, academic course packs, uses for Master theses and Doctoral dissertations, concert programs, etc.
- Coordinating between the estates/composers and requestors
- Keeping Permissions Tracker up-to date
- Coordinating requestor needs to estates & composers.
- ASCAP SYMPHONIC REPORT – monthly submittal
- Assist with general special department projects as assigned
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum 1 year of experience working for a music publishing company or some combination of internships
- Must be able to read music
- Good understanding of Classical Music
- Proficient with formulas and functions of Excel
- Willingness and ability to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
