Position Details
Our staff are hired in a few different roles, detailed below for open Performing Arts Positions.
- Classroom Instructor & Bunk Counselor: The majority of our staff will be hired in this role. Our Instructor/Counselors live in a bunk with a co-counselor and take care of a group of campers. During the day, Instructor/Counselors will teach during 3 of the 4 class periods, with one block of time reserved for their prep period. Classroom instructors will teach alongside another staff member, making this a great role for someone looking to gain some tangible teaching experience. Outside of class time, Instructor/Counselors take part in all the fun of camp life, leading their campers. From silly evening activities to exciting all camp events, we rely on our Bunk Counselors to keep campers happy, healthy, and thriving.
- Lead Instructor: We will hire a smaller team of Lead Instructors to be the experts in the classroom! Our Lead Instructors have experience teaching in the classroom or in private lessons, and will oversee the curriculum planning and execution, in conjunction with the Department Head. Lead Instructors do not live in bunk, but rather in community staff housing, or private housing. Lead Instructors teach all 4 class periods each day, and take their prep period during Afternoon Free Choice. Outside of classroom time, Lead Instructors take part in camp activities and special events, leading evening workshops or studios. Lead Instructors assist the Support and Leadership Teams with evening supervision, and special events, throughout the summer. These positions are marked with an *.
- Leadership Team: Our Leadership Team oversees the Program Departments and Bunk Areas on camp, and report to the Camp Directors. If you are interested in a Leadership position, please let me know before our interview. These positions are marked with an **.
