Specialty Telehealth Services Operators:
Job Description:
The STS operator plays a vital role in being the communications liaison between our remote clients in various medical facilities and the scheduled on-call specialty physician locally. On a typical shift, the STS operators must be prepared to receive incoming requests for consultative medical assistance via our incoming phone system, robotic devices, or email/chat interface and then play a role in coordinating the link up of the appropriate medical personnel. In addition, the STS operator performs duties such as connectivity checks on hardware and software systems related to the various technological & videoconferencing devices used for stated consultations.

Salary
Starting salary is eligible for pay increase after training and evaluation.
Preferences:
Due to the company's relations with the Health, Medicine, and Technology fields, we have a strong preference towards students in the Health and Sciences majors as well as I.T. and Engineering students. This advantage is even stronger if the applicant has previous experience in stated fields. However, all are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
Daily shift responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Checking that on-site hardware such as computers, phones, mobile devices, and other telecommunication structures and software systems are functioning properly; basic troubleshooting measures needed will be taught during training.
- Performing equipment checks with on-call physicians to ensure that their hardware and software systems are properly able to communicate and access remote client sites.
- Using diligence and sound judgment combined with proper communication skills to convey information professionally between all associated parties, as well as accurately and thoroughly documenting details in a shift report.
Requirements:
Applicants must have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Access, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
- Professional phone etiquette, detailed note-taking skills, and the ability to take and relay precise instructions
- The applicant must meet our office standards and maintain a professional appearance including wearing the appropriate uniform attire required by all of our employees
- Flexible availability, including weekends
