DMED Technology Ad Product Commercialization Intern-Remote,Summer 2021


Job Summary:
Comprised of Disney’s international media businesses and the Company’s various streaming services, the Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED) segment aligns technology, media distribution, and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world. Playing an important role in the growth and future of DMED and The Walt Disney Company, the Technology team helps drive the strategic development and deployment of technology at the Walt Disney Company. It creates products, platforms and innovations for Disney’s portfolio of brands and businesses, while building scalable systems that connect hundreds of millions of consumers to Disney’s beloved stories, characters and brands.

DMED Ad Platforms is responsible for delivering global adverting technology solutions for Disney’s Linear and Addressable channels, brands and streaming services. With unmatched scale, premium content and innovative capabilities, DMED Ad Platforms is a market leader in advertising. We build and maintain proprietary technology, ranging from ad serving and ad delivery, campaign management, reporting as well as all the integrations internal and external that come with evolving and maintaining a best-in-class video advertising business.

Responsibilities:

A Day in the Life…
In this position, no single day will be the same. Commercialization requires working with cross-functional teams from Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and others to execute best-in-class strategies to drive DMED’s advertising business. One day you can be working with Sales on creating in-market collateral for our newest ad product and the next be working with Finance and Product to understand advertiser adoption. The main goal of Commercialization and this role is to ensure the proper flow of information and understanding throughout the organization to increase institutional knowledge and help drive the business forward.
  • Assisting in the development of value-based messaging for DMED’s Ad Experiences team
  • Assist in the updating and analysis of reporting for DMED’s Addressable advertising revenue

  • Meet with cross-functional teams to understand how the business works and help execute on deliverables

  • Review business processes and methods to identify new areas of opportunity
