Landscape Architecture Student Intern

Prosser is hiring a landscape architecture student intern to work in the design, planning, and landscape architecture department. Students must be enrolled in a landscape architecture bachelor's or master's degree program. Internship programs are available based on business needs.

Job Description
Prosser is a multidisciplinary firm based in northeast Florida offering Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Planning, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering and Graphic Design. We specialize in wide range of public and private sector work including design and planning work for higher education, medical campuses, municipalities, public parks, mixed use communities, corporate entities, and various federal programs.

We are seeking a creative and energetic addition to our team to work in a collaborative atmosphere and exhibit a passion for design, problem solving and project implementation. Successful candidates will be capable of advancing project vision through concept, design development and implementation phases. Must be self-motivated and willing to learn and grow.
 
Requirements
  • Pursuing degree in Landscape Architecture or relevant design field
  • Master planning, visionary and design skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Familiarity with Sketchup
  • Ability to work and collaborate with others
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Microsoft Office
  • Graphic Skills

Learning Outcomes
  •  Planning, design, and construction documentation for a wide range of projects.
  • Produce landscape architectural designs, construction drawings, and accurate project detailing.
  • Site Due Diligence, research, and site analysis.
  • Produce graphic presentations, plans, sections, elevations, and the like.
  • Coordination with local jurisdictions, agencies, and consultants.

The internship schedule is flexible, but it does require time in the studio - this is not a virtual/work-from-home position. We typically ask that interns have 20 hours a week to be available in the office. Due to our collaborative work environment, the intern selected will have the opportunity to work with a number of registered landscape architects (as well as civil engineers, graphic designers, planners, etc.) on projects in both the public and private sector. We will match the intern with a landscape architect at the time of hiring.
