Editorial Content Coordinator

Position Summary
Responsible for developing and coordinating the publishing of content to NAB Amplify, NAB’s year-round media industry digital community. The Editorial Content Coordinator works within the Conventions & Business Operations Content Team to help with all aspects of content development, including writing, editing, posting/publishing, and coordinating with outside resources to ensure NAB Amplify features fresh and relevant content. 
 
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the Managing Editor in developing the Content Plan for NAB Amplify.
Manage outside content resources, as assigned, to ensure required content is delivered and published per the Content Plan and work with an established network of industry contributors for online content.
Edit articles, blogs or other written content to ensure it is relevant, of an appropriate length and without errors.
 
Develop written content as needed.
  • Meet daily deadlines for short form articles/product descriptions,
  • Write occasional Q&As and feature articles.
 
 
Assist in coordinating video production; this includes working with production resources (internal or external), coordinating with participants/speakers and reviewing content.  
 
Assist with coordination of live (digital) events.
 
Assist with aggregating and curating external content. 
 
Coordinate the publishing of all forms of content on NAB Amplify.
 
Coordinate content creation and posting in CMS in support of newsletters.

Author social media messages and coordinate with Marketing Team to post. 

Other duties as assigned
 
Required Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience
College degree required, Journalism, PR, and Marketing majors preferred.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
 
Experience developing and publishing content to online properties a plus. 

Keeps up to date with best practices in writing for the web, social media trends, web usability, web design, and business/industry trends.
 
Basic understanding of HTML and SEO.
 
 
Desired Skills & Abilities: 
Knowledge, or experience within, the media sector not required, but desirable.
 
Knowledge of WordPress a plus
