Photography and Social Media Summer Intern

Missouri Military Academy is looking for an energetic, innovative college student to fill an available summer internship in the Academy’s Office of Marketing and Communications. This position provides a unique opportunity to build a student’s resume and photography portfolio and to gain professional experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Internship Responsibilities:

-         Photography during MMA summer camps, following our campers in their active days and evenings
-         Contribute to social media platforms, sharing photos to update families on their campers’ activities
-         Assist with the management of blogs and other online content
-         Assist with online photo and video galleries
-         Assist with email marketing, using photos taken, to update families
-         Assist with video slideshow creation for final camp ceremonies
-         Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Communications

Internship Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in photography, art, communications, public relations, marketing or graphic design.
-         Experience with various social media platforms.
-         Excellent photography skills
-         Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
-         Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
-         Proficiency in computer skills and applications, including Microsoft Office. Adobe CS experience is a plus.
-         Ability to work as a member of a team and in an individual capacity
-         Interest in furthering the cause of a nonprofit educational institution and broadening the experience of young people.
-         Ability to commit 40 hours per week, with a flexible structure.
