Choir Teacher | First Baptist Academy

REPORTS TO: Middle School and High School Principals

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Teach Choir (5th grade, 6th grade, Middle School, and High School) as well as lower Elementary General Music (Pre-K, K-5, 1st, and 2nd grades)

QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The employee is a Christian with an authentic and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ in both his or her professional and personal life with a calling and commitment to Christian education. Must have excellent interpersonal and computer skills, the ability to present information concisely and effectively, confidentially handle sensitive information, organize and prioritize work, multi-task and work independently with little supervision, and must be a team player.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Arts in music education or vocal performance. A minimum of three years' experience in a teaching position is preferred. Proficiency in classroom teaching and choral performance.
