Social Media and Marketing Intern

When considering a new apartment, have you ever wanted to ask a current resident how they like the place? Rentgrata connects people interested in an apartment building with people who actually live there. If you are searching for a new apartment, you can reach out to current residents and ask questions important to you. If a lease is signed, you and the resident split the referral money offered by the property manager. We are bringing apartment renters closer together, creating friendships, and helping them earn a little side income along the way.
To help us make life better for all apartment renters and property managers, we are looking for a Social Media and Marketing Intern. Rentgrata’s brand is welcoming, inclusive, friendly, and caring, and we are passionate about helping people meet new people, build relationships, and find a home. Our Social Media and Marketing Intern will manage and create and schedule content for Rentgrata’s social media accounts as well as strategize and implement marketing initiatives.
As part of Team RG you will:
- Work with Rentgrata team members to develop a social media content strategy. Content can involve, but is not limited to, announcements or stories regarding: Rentgrata team members, clients (property management companies and/or their individual apartment communities), end user (renter) success stories, or Rentgrata channel or integration partners.
- Help manage Rentgrata’s LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.
- Create or discover on-brand content for Rentgrata social media posts including photos/artwork, caption copy, mentions, and hashtags.
- Assist in product marketing efforts for new product releases.
- Schedule content for all accounts.
- Learn the ins and outs of the multifamily and PropTech industries and monitor industry news.
- Work in a fast-moving, startup environment with peers who challenge you to grow.
- Gain experience helping an early stage startup break onto the world stage.
- Work closely with the company’s founders.
Why we want you:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university, with a major in marketing, social media marketing, communications, graphic design, or related.
- Rising Junior or rising Senior would be preferable, although all candidates will be considered.
- Strong copy writing skills across varies social media platforms.
- Strong knowledge of social media trends.
- Demonstrated ability to build brand awareness and cultivate a social media following.
- Photoshop or Canva experience is a plus.
- Passion for real estate, interior design, or peer relationship building is a plus.
- You deliver clear, effective communication and take responsibility for understanding others.
- You are able to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
- Please provide a link to your online portfolio if applicable.
Compensation:
- $18.00 per hour.
- Up to 20 hours per week.
