The Senior Associate will be part of the Investment Communications team, which is responsible for creating investment-related internal and client facing content for the Investment Management and Research group. The Senior Associate will independently conduct research and manage the development of a variety of communications projects, while working closely with the Head of Investment Communications. These materials include periodic and ad-hoc financial market commentaries, economic reports and whitepapers, as well as graphics and chart presentations that provide insight into equity, fixed income, and other investment asset classes. In addition, the Senior Associate will be responsible for developing materials that promote FRIM’s internal investment strategies and products. The Senior Associate will also ensure all phases of the review and approval process of publications are completed in a timely manner, acting as the lead project manager while partnering with Compliance and Marketing teams. Other tasks include helping answer investment inquiries from wealth management teams, developing followership and performance trackers and managing the internal library of research publications.
What you’ll do as a Senior Associate, Investment Communications:
- Develop investment-related editorial content including economic reports, financial market commentaries, frequently asked questions (FAQs) and investment research that accurately reflects the team’s house views on a variety of topics.
- Manage an editorial calendar, collaborating with members of the Research team to identify key market trends and investment opportunities and write in-depth topical pieces in a timely manner.
- Collect, analyze, and select quantitative and qualitative content from third-party research providers (i.e. Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet) for the creation of charts, articles and reports.
- Format chartbooks and client-facing pieces to meet branding and marketing standards.
- Conduct content reviews, including analyzing, editing and proofreading research and marketing materials in order to ensure content is in adherence to research guidelines and meet compliance requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for research-related inquiries and questions from wealth managers, internal partners and senior management.
- Assist with the management of internal websites and libraries.
You could be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Relations or Marketing preferred.
- Experience in capital markets, finance, asset management or wealth management. Strong grasp of financial and investment concepts.
- Strong writing background and grammar skills with proven financial literacy.
- Team player mentality and the ability to collaborate across different groups to produce content, source ideas and cover financial developments.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat. High attention to detail and strong research/quantitative skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to multitask on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Web design a plus.
