Digital Marketing Assistant Intern (Remote)

Duties And Responsibilities

As Digital Marketing Assistant Intern, you’ll work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the operations and management of clients. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks within the department, including but not limited to branding, communications, editing, proofing, creating and maintaining marketing campaigns, following up with clients, and attending client zoom meetings.

The Marketing Assistant will be required to be detailed-oriented and well organized on all tasks.

Major Functions
  • Help manage campaign set-up, activation, and daily client communication
  • Drive the implementation and overall performance of paid social strategies
  • Execute day-to-day optimizations, including ad rotation, building, QAing, and launching new ads, budget reallocation
  • Coordinate and assist in the management of projects with our designer, copywriter, and other ads team members.
  • Assist in the collection and analysis of data, hypothesize and execute tests to continuously improve performance
  • Analyze and track campaign and channel performance, build reporting dashboards, and recommend opportunities to improve existing campaigns or generate new learnings for the business
  • Work closely with account managers, generating briefs, providing recommendations to optimize performance, documenting tests, and regularly sharing new findings.
  • Assist in client and partner communications through Slack, Asana, Hugo, Video Calls, and Emails
Qualifications & Skills
  • Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a similar field or senior in this field.
  • Strong interpersonal, and organization skills and the ability to convey ideas clearly
  • Strong project management skills, must be able to time manage projects and be mindful of deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work both individually and in a team environment – strong ability to articulate and document analysis findings
  • 1-3 years of internship experience working in Paid Social advertising or social media management, ideally within an agency/client environment
  • Experience developing, optimizing, analyzing, and reporting on paid campaigns on social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn etc.)
  • Understanding of Facebook Ads Manager and Power Editor, and experience working with Google Ads, Display ads, and other social ad platforms
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a deadline-driven atmosphere.
  • Strong levels of integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation.
  • You have an intuitive, empathic understanding of people, and an ability to hypothesize why a given message may or may not resonate with a given audience.
  • You enjoy taking initiative and are comfortable tackling problems in uncertain or ambiguous situations.
  • You are intellectually curious and have a bias towards rapidly learning new skills or things that interest you.
  • Basic understanding of WordPress or other content management systems
  • Go getter mindset, willingness to learn and adapt.

This internship is 20+ hours per week. Based on performance, a full-time position may be offered upon completion.
