Clinical Outreach Specialist
The Child Mind Institute seeks an entrepreneurial, results-driven Clinical Outreach Specialist to support efforts to attract patients to our San Mateo Clinical Center. The ideal candidate is a scrappy self-starter with proven experience creating new business. The Clinical Outreach Specialist is responsible for achieving the goals of the clinical marketing plan through referral-generating activities such as school and community events, outreach to local doctors’ offices, and assisting clinicians in maintaining referral networks. This role organizes and promotes parent/educator workshops, coordinates events, and helps plan the Child Mind Institute's presence at professional conferences. Other hyper-local PR and advertising efforts may be needed. Requires the ability to work occasional evening and weekend events.
Reporting to the Clinical Marketing Manager, this is an exempt, full-time position located in our San Mateo office.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate promotion of the clinical practice and outreach to parents, educators and other key audiences.
- Manage relationships with referral sources and make introductions to clinical staff to facilitate their relationships and assist in follow-up.
- Manage parent and educator workshops, receptions and professional development trainings.
- Manage live chat and webcasting for any events that are streamed online.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Marketing and Communications department to develop promotional materials, conference programs, participant handouts, and signage.
- Assist in development and implementation of marketing plans for the clinical practice and specific clinical programs, including email and outreach campaigns.
- Outreach to relevant schools and community organizations to introduce CMI and develop/ execute/ attend events such as clinician speaking engagements, parent and educator workshops, receptions, and professional development training.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in communications, marketing, or related field.
- 3-5 years’ experience in sales and marketing with demonstrated creativity in referral generation and outreach initiatives.
- Relevant experience planning, organizing, and marketing events.
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce.
- Medical practice sales and marketing experience and/ or working in schools a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a dynamic team.
- Ability to work at events that may occur on evenings and weekends.
- Self-starter personality comfortable initiating meetings and conversation with new people.
