Solution Design Engineer

Are you the next Solution Design Engineer we are looking for?
  • You will be responsible for collecting requirements and providing functional and technical design of proposed solutions
  • You will coordinate/provide solutions documents, such as the scope of work, business, and technical cut sheets
  • You will be required to work regularly with other departments in order to coordinate these activities.
 
In this role you’ll:
  • Assume the role of gathering requirements for software to be developed
  • Perform GAP analysis of software and services for new projects
  • Support the sales department with technical information and provides product overviews for prospective and existing customers
  • Participate in the proposal process and supports sales by providing software and hardware cost estimates
  • Work with R&D to support the development process.
  • Consult and analyze the business/operation objectives of the customers and develops solution design documents to address their business requirements
  • Ability to analyze the entire airport operation including data, goals, process, and organization.
  • Evaluate information harvested through surveys and workshops, task analysis, and business process description
  • Have strong technical skills, business intelligence, and a full understanding of the needs of the customers
  • Be able to effectively communicate with external clients and internal teams to deliver the solution proposals, financial overview of the scope of work, and system designs according to the contractual agreements   
  • Be the interface between technology teams (Product Managers, R&D) and business units (Sales, Purchasing, Project Management)
  • Ensure that the recommended solution is both commercial and competitive                                                                                             
 
About the ideal candidate: 
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university
  • Relevant Work Experience: Four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
