Purchasing Analyst
The Purchasing Analyst’s primary function will be to assist the Director of Supply Chain Management and Purchasing Manager in finding new supply and developing client relationships. Other duties will involve assisting organization of the company’s supply chain, communicating with the sales team to inform them of available products for sale, negotiating prices, and purchasing from our suppliers.
1) Find and develop new supply-side clients
2) Organize inventory and inform sales team of available products
3) Responsible for maintaining client files (including, but not limited to, price history, photos, contacts, etc.)
4) Perform quality checks
5) Represent the company when bidding for supply
6) Work across departments and assist with various projects designed to help grow the business
7) Monitor vendor compliance, such as handling prepayments, ensure vendor understands shipment requirements, etc.
8) Other job relevant duties as assigned by the Director of Supply Chain Management, Director of Sales, and CEO.
Required skills
1) 4-year degree from an accredited institution
2) High level of organization and time management
3) Must be an effective communicator
4) Hard-working, “can do” attitude
5) Strong attention to detail
6) Ability to think analytically and critically; does not require SOPs to guide workday
7) Must be willing to travel at least 25-50%
8) Proficiency with MS Office products
9) Ability to self-supervise, problem solve, and manage competing priorities
10) Must be a self-starter and highly motivated to perform on a daily basis
Preferred skills
1) Two to three years’ experience in a business environment
2) Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not a requirement
3) Experience using Sugar CRM
