Program Duration: October 4, 2021 - April 15, 2022
INTERN WILL LEARN AND BE EXPOSED TO:
NPR’s Creative team seeks a talented intern to support the team in creating cross-channel promotional content, from concept to execution. This team member will become familiar with best practices in creating brands and marketing campaigns, especially related to growing NPR's podcasting audience. They will join a fast-paced team of experienced, talented creative professionals responsible for some of the most admired and respected brands in media.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Exploration: Create mood boards & storyboards, and conduct background research.
- Collaboration: Work with members of the creative team to bring visual ideas to life.
- Execution: Help build creative assets ranging from display ads, printed pieces, video, and more
- Implementation: Ensure creative is effectively utilized across various channels.
- Creativity: Work within existing design systems while contributing fresh ideas for existing brands.
WHO CAN APPLY?
- LOCATION: This internship will be fully remote. Must be planning to work from the United States throughout the fall/winter 2021 internship dates.
- EDUCATION: Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Fluid use of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
- Basic knowledge of design principles
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Fluid use of Adobe After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
- Sketching & illustration capabilities
- Previous design internship experience is a plus.
SCHEDULE
- 20 - 40 hours per week around the intern's schedule.
