Development Coordinator

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Director of Development, the Development Coordinator (full-time, year-round) will administratively support Orlando REP’s fundraising efforts by managing the company’s donor database, annual fund solicitations, grants management/reporting, and supporting special events. Orlando REP is seeking a driven, highly organized individual with strong writing and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage data, a desire for a career in arts fundraising, and a commitment to supporting Orlando REP in its mission. The Development Coordinator works closely with and reports directly to the Senior Director of Development.

Individual Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Accept, record, and acknowledge donations made by individuals
  • Maintain donor database to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Design and generate regular reports on donor activity
  • Execute donor benefits program, providing all benefit packages to donors and sponsors
  • Manage grant and sponsorship compliance, including interim and final reports and data tracking
  • Execute direct appeal fundraising campaigns (including the United Arts Collaborative Campaign)
  • Execute stewardship plans for donors of all levels
  • Work with the Senior Director of Development to support Orlando REP’s fundraising special events
  • Work with the Senior Director of Development to create and maintain long-range and immediate fundraising plans for annual fund donors 
  •  Additional duties and special projects as assigned

Development Team Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Attend workshops and events hosted by community partners to increase Orlando REP’s public profile, including all United Arts meetings, County workshops, and community functions
  • Work with Marketing in creating print materials for development projects – including but not limited to granting proposals, special events, and board development
  • Serve on Orlando REP Board Committees as appropriate, including but not limited to the Development Committee and Special Events Subcommittee 
  • Fulfill all of Orlando REP’s funding obligations accordingly (sponsor fulfillment, donor benefits)
  • Attend and support Orlando REP special events

Desired Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in nonprofit fundraising environment (performing arts preferred)
  • Desire to build a career in nonprofit fundraising 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational, writing, customer service, and communications skills
  • Strong data management and analysis skills
  • Experience with donor management software preferred

  • Starting Salary for this position: (Tier 5 – Coordinator) $32,500 annually or $15.63 per hour
