About the Position:
- Summary: Records, verifies, and maintains customer, accounts receivable and related accounting information by performing the following duties.
- Accounts Receivable & Customer Support, Acquisition Team Support
- Work closely with various branch locations to investigate and resolve customer and accounts receivable discrepancies.
- Upload customers from acquisitions to MIR systems
- Request and maintain Certificate of Liability forms for customers; complete requested customer setup forms
- Verify and record monthly customer rebates
- General Accounting and Tax Reporting
- Assist in monthly and annual closings.
- Assist team with shop vehicle insurance and registrations
- Record fixed asset and personal property taxes and records
- Complete: diversity reports; business registrations and licenses; income tax filings; estimated tax payments; various government reporting; and census filings
- Maintain Dun and Bradstreet MIR account information
- Sales Tax
- Complete and file monthly sales tax returns.
- Set up of Automated Tax Compliance Software, Avalara
- Sales tax integration from acquisitions
- ERP Projects
- Implement and train on Accounts Receivable and customer setup
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable technology including: Wells Fargo changes and uploads
Requirements:
- This position requires the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities.
- Individual should possess a strong attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, accuracy, organizational skills, flexibility in workflow, deadline driven, and ability to receive constructive criticism.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required, Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 2 years related customer service or accounting experience preferred.
