Internship Overview
The Temporary Retail Store Design/Visual Merchandiser, Latin America will support Regional Merchandising team in the coordination of the execution, implementation, and maintenance of Point of Sale (POS) retail design projects for the LATAM Region. Assisting in development of technical details and prototypes with contractors/suppliers. Support Regional Merchandising team by using various online platforms, in supporting the development of store/event design and visual merchandising projects, installation of new counters and coordinating retrofits and maintenance. Main objective is ensuring a consistent and highly qualitative execution of the brand image, respecting the guidelines, strategy and timing.
Profile
Essential Duties And Job Responsibilities
POINT OF SALE MAINTENANCE/RETROFITS & LOGISTICS
- Manage/Update project tracking database and provide weekly updates to Merch team & monthly reports to Commercial Team
- Analyze existing drawings and communicate tasks directly to suppliers/constructors
- Support in the development of technical drawings related to maintenance requests and retrofits
- Coordinate and assist Merch Team in the installation of merchandising elements
MERCHANDISING TOOLS
- Monitor/Track Merchandising quantities in Menu Master file w/ Commercial Assistants
- Support the creating of the Set Up Installation Guides: for new installations
- Track and Ensure the correct and on time implementation of Merchandising Tools at Point of Sale (POS)
- Coordinate shipping/installations of Make-up Drawers (DSS4), Bars, Chairs, Material & Menu orders
ONLINE DATABASE (DIOR LATINA)
- Manage, Verify & Update POS information from the Master file with new/existing projects.
- Request/Upload pictures of the new counters installations.
- Review and coordinate maintenance/order requests.
- Upload bi-weekly Newsletters
VISUAL MERCHANDISING/TRADE MARKETING
- Brief: Receive & check all info in VM brief is correct and distribute to Visual Merchandiser & Trade Mrktg Mgr.
- Pre-Design: Assist w/ Layout plans, Elevations, Sections and Details (when needed)
- Technical drawings: Prepare drawing package adapted to the project for client negotiation/quoting in AutoCAD/Sketchup (when needed)
- Purchasing: Coordinate and support Merch team in negotiation with suppliers (when needed)
- Shop Drawings: Review execution drawings for production from suppliers and review with Visual Merchandiser (when needed)
- Implementation: Coordination of Merchandising permanent displays local production.
- Assist in Prototype Development & Merchandising Displays. Coordinate with suppliers on materials/details.
ARCHITECTURE PROJECTS
- Brief: Receive & check all info in design brief is correct and distribute to Store Designer.
- Pre-Design: Assist w/ Layout plans, Elevations, Sections and Details (when needed)
- Technical drawings: Prepare technical Details package adapted to the Region for purchasing process of the counters in AutoCAD/Sketchup (when needed)
- Purchasing: Coordinate and support Merch team in Purchasing process with department in Paris and suppliers (when needed)
- Shop Drawings: Review execution drawings for production from manufacturers and review with Store Designer (when needed)
Other
- Assist Merch Team w/ various presentations
- Participate in the organization of regional events and meetings (Agent’s Seminar, Merch Seminar, BC Seminar)
- Update Smartsheet & Participate in weekly status meetings
- Support Merch Team w/ Expense Reports
Additional information
Skills And Qualifications
- Former experience in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, Visual Merchandising and/or Project Management
- Bachelors Degree in Architecture/Design
- Experience/Interest in Retail Design and Project Management
- Proficient in AutoCad, Photoshop and Excel (Sketchup a plus), Trello & Smartsheet
- Analytical/Project Management skills required
- A Detailed oriented & creative problem solver
- Very strong Organization & Communication skills
- An Innovative thinker with an eagerness to learn
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Adobe PhotoSuite
- Strong Operational skills
- Speaks fluently English and Spanish (French and/or Portuguese can be a plus)
