Human Resource Coordinator

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team in the Miami office!
SUMMARY
Performs a wide range of administrative functions in support of the Human Resources department in a timely manner consistent with the policy and business philosophy of Perry Ellis International. Provides support to the Human Resources team in the following areas: Associate Activities, Worker's Compensation, FMLA/LOA, Oracle Data Entry, Recruitment, Benefits, and coordinating a variety of HR projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance
- Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person of the team
- Maintain records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met
- Conducting new hire orientation including setting up the conference room, preparing and maintaining new hire reference materials, company tour, nameplate request, uploading intranet photo and issuing vehicle registration form
- Assist with the 90 Day Performance Evaluations including distribution, review, and tracking
- Administer summer internship program events including coffee hours, lunch and learns, retail store visit, and presentations
- Collaborate in the creation of company-wide communications and events
- Coordinate logistics for engagement events
- Follow-up on Alert Line reports and investigations and keep log updated
- Order office supplies, schedule team events, expense reports, and process invoices for payment
- Process terminations in our HRIS system and assist with exit interviews to better understand turnover.
- Responsible for New Hire Onboarding Survey and keeping track of trends to improve results
- Complete special projects by setting timetables and schedules, conducting research, partnering with appropriate contacts, developing and organizing information.
- Maintenance of PEI organizational charts (updating regularly). Manage, create and maintain electronic employee personnel files, i.e. new hire, termination, filing, etc.
- Process transfers, promotions, changes, etc. in Oracle
- Maintain reports for all actions in Oracle, such as New Hires, Relocation, Termination, Tenure, Job Change, and Promotion reports
- Maintains Amex purchase records for the end of month auditing purposes
- Supports tracking and communication COVID related issues/cases.
- Supports all areas of HR as needed
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Basic knowledge of human resources policies and practices including benefits and I-9 processing and Federal/State laws.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve in dealing with HR issues
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, using time efficiently, and developing realistic action plans
- Ability to provide timely responses to customers in a courteous manner
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree desired.
- Two or more years of HR-related experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Google
