Global Training Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer supports the training efforts of the ICRM Global Training Team. The candidate will develop learning materials using a variety of learning methodologies including classroom and web-based; integrate adult learning theory and creativity into all design elements for the creation of an interactive and effective learning experience.

  • Develop engaging learning activities and captivating course content that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge
  • Use authoring software to create engaging and interactive e-learning courses, videos, etc.
  • Develop exercises and activities that enhance the learning process
  • Create supporting material/media such as: guides, job aids, end-user material, facilitator guides, videos, infographics & simulations
  • Formulate modes of assessment, such as tests / knowledge checks to measure the effectiveness of the course
  • Set instructional end goals/learning objectives and create content that matches them
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs and the relevant content
  • Update and maintain existing training material
  • Keeps abreast of business changes and processes to develop up-to-date and accurate training solutions
  • Determine appropriate training solution for assigned projects, based on the outcome of analyzing business needs, performance goals, and audience.
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders
  • Coordinate train-the-trainer sessions to ensure the effective transfer of knowledge
  • Troubleshoot technical course issues
  • Conduct peer review for training material
  • Provide and be receptive to feedback

Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Communication or related field is preferred, Master’s degree is a plus
  • Minimum 3-4 years of instructional design experience with at least 2 years’ experience in a corporate environment
  • Proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology (ability to provide portfolio with work examples)
  • Visual design skills and ability to storyboard required
  • Ability to create storyboards, instructional text, audio/video scripts
  • Proficient in Storyline, Lectora, Snagit, Rise, Camtasia
  • Demonstrated experience incorporating adult learning theory, practices, and methodologies into the creation of training materials used in a business setting
  • Ability to develop and proofread training materials
  • Ability to collect and analyze information, problem-solve, and make decisions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such complex compliance content; compile, analyze and interpret information
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Flexible with schedule (days/nights/ability to travel up to 20%) including remote work
  • Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management
  • Able to organize workload and manage multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal direction
  • Fluency in writing/reading/speaking/translating/creating training material in Spanish, or any other second language a plus
