Performing Arts/Dance Elementary School Teacher

Performing Arts teacher for PreK - 8 IB elementary school in Chicago, Illinois. Teacher see each class (24 students) once a week for an hour. There is a school wide production for Winter celebration, Black History Month, International Week. There is an opportunity for extra income for after hours practice and rehearsal sessions. Illinois teacher certification with an endorse in performing arts is required but we are open to bachelor's degree holders in Dance who are willing to start off as substitute teacher cadre and then work on getting the required endorsement. Substitute teacher cadres get benefits throughout the period of employment. Applicants who hold a teaching license from another state are welcome to apply bearing in mind that an Illinois license is required ultimately. Compensation is based on qualification according to Chicago Public School teacher salary schedule.
