Marketing Specialist

Description

Marketing Specialist provides top-notch service and support across the organization, driving awareness for sales initiatives and enhancing overall brand perception. As a key marketing department liaison for the Operations and Buying teams, this position is primarily responsible for generating multiple, deadline-driven content and collateral requests from inception to execution, while communicating with creative services, ad production and interactive marketing teams to ensure alignment.

Note: this role is based out of our Phoenix, AZ headquarters and is not eligible for relocation.
 
Essential Job Functions
  • Work with cross-functional teams to plan for customer-facing promotions that align with company goals
  • Act as a link between departments to develop and implement engaging content and collateral for in-store promotions, campaigns, and initiatives
  • Streamline key messages across multiple communication channels (e.g., in-store collateral, print advertising and digital communications)
  • Maintain a promotional calendar including editorial themes, in-store promotions, print, digital, PR and team member training activities align
  • Develop and optimize processes to ensure quality, on-brand content is completed efficiently
  • Develop original content for a variety of written materials, such as radio scripts, in-store voiceover announcements, print materials, email marketing and Sprouts.com, including articles, promotional headlines, and helpful healthy living resources
  • Serve as owner of Sprouts Grammar Guide and subject matter expert to ensure all content meets high-quality standards, consistency, and concise communication
  • Proofread web content and other marketing materials as needed
  • Identify opportunities for new, useful and creative content opportunities
  • Other related duties as assigned
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field with three (3) years of experience in marketing content creation, ad copywriting, print and digital marketing; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of how to represent a consumer brand well across a variety of communication channels
  • Demonstrated excellence in copywriting, and the ability to make complex concepts simple and engaging
  • Effective writing style that’s fresh, consistent and customer friendly; creative approach to content development
  • Ability to remain positive and flexible to manage uncertainty and change
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills with an excellent grasp of the English language and grammar rules.
  • Thorough understanding Microsoft Office suite
  • Incredibly detail minded and results oriented
  • Show a high degree of organization and self-motivation
