Undertakes a formal Professional Engineer Development Program (PEDP) to become knowledgeable in the organization and engineering work functions of the Department. Learns to perform or evaluate all major aspects of transportation engineering by rotating through various functional areas that may include Construction Inspection, Road Design, Bridge Design, Materials and Testing, Environmental Services, Traffic Operations or Maintenance. Daily work affords solid opportunities for achievement and recognition through both individual productivity and team performance.
