Workforce Development Coordinator

As a Coordinator in the Human Resources department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with key business policies, assisting with recruiting events, on-boarding, performance management, employee data. This position also identifies and helps manage process and system improvements that will help deliver superior customer service to our internal clients.

Strong communication skills are critical as well as any prior HRIS experience. You should be able to advocate for our employees as well as the company. Ultimately, your goal is to provide timely adherence to and resolution of key HR policies and procedures while handling sensitive and confidential information.
Other stuff we like:
- Bachelor’s degree, or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum two to three years’ direct experience in human resources, preferably supporting an entire Human Resources department with identified job duties as described below.
- Knowledge of and experience with employment law and employment practices.
· Demonstrated excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
· Ability to quickly learn and work with multiple computer systems and records retention tools.
· Working knowledge or demonstrated ability to learn HRIS systems.
More details on what you would be responsible for:
Recruiting:
· Support the Recruiter with logistics of career fairs or other recruiting events such as registration, schedules, giveaways, handouts, etc.
· Load resumes received at career fairs into Greenhouse and corresponds as needed with key recruits.
· Post new jobs in Greenhouse, on Connect, on the Department of Labor website and other third-party sites. Ensure the job posting is sent to all Gas South employees through company e-mail.
· Schedule phone screens and on-site interviews. Prepare interview packets and collect/file all documentation post-facto. Update Greenhouse to ensure all candidates are appropriately disposed.
· Compose and send all offer letters and required links/documentation to new hires.
· Update applicant data on job postings to support recruiter.
· Work with recruiter to track effectiveness of recruiting sources and events.
On-Boarding:
· Coordinate new hire activities including drug testing, background investigations, computer access, nameplate and volunteer badge, employee badge, and parking.
· Complete all hiring and on-boarding tasks in UltiPro including the I-9 verification process.
· Work with hiring manager to complete all HR Action Forms for new hires.
· Work with hiring manager to ensure workspace is identified, computer and desk are appropriately set up for employee’s first day.
· Help coordinate new hire orientation(s) and ensure presenters are scheduled to cover Gas South History, benefits, Community Affairs, etc.
· Review new hire checklist with the hiring manager to ensure he/she knows their role in the process.
· Ensure communication of new hires is distributed.
· Serve as the Gas South HR liaison with new employees for first day.
Day-to-Day:
· Answer questions on HR processes and procedures.
· Own HR pages and documents on CONNECT and ensure they are current, accurate and easy to locate.
· Post timely updates to HR policies, processes, documents, and forms on CONNECT.
· Assist employees in using CONNECT to find HR policies, processes, and procedures.
· Troubleshoot UltiPro issues with employees and managers.
· Own HR shared drive and ensure it is efficient, effective and in compliance.
· Make people changes in UKG Pro as received and via HR Action Forms
· Perform data entry as needed – add new hires, promotions, raises, terminations, etc.
· Audit employee data to ensure complete and current data exists (addresses, phones, emergency contact, etc.).
· Track employee movement (needed for workforce planning and affirmative action reporting as requested).
· Create reports as required to support required filings.
· Manage accident-reporting paperwork.
Performance Management
· Audit employee records to ensure managers are notating monthly 1-1s and the quality of documentation is in line with expectations.

· When needed, create documentation for proposed discipline and work with supervision to ensure discipline is delivered and documented in a timely manner.
· Generate termination letters and DOL800s.
· Handle all logistics for terminations from including HR Action Forms, updating UKG Pro and working with IT to disconnecting badge and computer access.
