A Day in the Life…
- Supporting all aspects of productions
- Conducting video and editorial research
- Logging tape and sourcing and clearing video
- Pitching stories and booking interviews
- Assisting with the administrative duties of the office
What we are looking for…
(Basic Qualifications)
- Interest in hard news- breaking, national and international news
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Initiative and strong multi-tasking skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines when necessary
- Strong editorial skills
- Writing and experience
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekends and evenings
(Preferred Qualifications)
- Previous internship experience in a local or national newsroom
Required Education:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
Preferred Education:
- Undergraduate students in their junior/senior year or recent graduates
Additional Details:
- This internship is both a remote and in-person internship.
- Must be able to work in the New York City office and provide your own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship
- Must be available from January through June 2023
- This internship is about 32 hours/week (11am -7pm four days/week) in Eastern Standard time and include weekends.
- Interns will work in the office several days a week and remotely the rest of the days.
- The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection, as well as a quiet and dedicated work space, but must be willing to commute to the television studio building (as necessary)
- Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
