Graphic and Printing Production Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY
This individual is responsible for assisting the studio manager in overseeing the printing production schedule, ensuring that new and existing Fine Art follow the established aesthetic parameters, and creating the utmost level of productivity and organization of all assigned in-house production projects as needed.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with Print Production Specialist and Studio Production Manager to assist and carry out printing process as needed.
  • Cut canvas and carry out print quality inspection, manual set up, signing session and processing of new and existing print collections.
  • Work closely with Print Production Specialist and Studio Production Manager to update and maintain digital assets, such as PDFs, catalogs, presentations, embellishment maps, digital imagery and more for all new and existing print collections.
  • Follow new prints launch schedule as planned by the Studio Production Manager.
  • Follow replenishment schedule as requested in Acumatica.
  • Carry out special printing requests and any other assigned projects as outlined by Studio Production Manager.
  • Always maintain utmost organization of studio, ensure the maximum and most efficient use of space and enforce highest security measures for studio, printing and photography rooms.
  • Aid with photography as needed: photograph, edit and archive accordingly all original artworks as well as studio and inventory items in need of a picture to make them available for sale.
  • Data entry: enter in Acumatica (ERP) all items inside the studio for traceability and availability purposes.
  • Facilitate inter- and intra-departmental work and communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Continually seek and gather information to update Studio Manager of project statuses and share actionable information relevant to each specific project.
  • Translate project requirements into functional assets that render well across platforms and with different audiences or departments.
  • Stay up to date with the latest design trends and maintain best practices for visual design, web development, accessibility, and quality.
  • Find creative and proactive solutions to everyday tasks while prioritizing the safest and best art handling processes as needed.

  • Knowledge of large format printers (Roland, Epson) and printing is a plus.
LANGUAGE ABILITY
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
