Marketing Communications Lead (Sr. Marketing Strategist)

Today, we are looking for a strategic thinker and creative problem-solver that brings passion and new ideas to the table, understands the value of ROI and how to measure the impact of marketing, and can craft compelling brand and product messages. As our Marketing Communications Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day strategy development, execution, and stewardship of marketing programs across the entire Hilton Trading Corporation portfolio of brands, but most importantly for AccuBANKER, our flagship brand. As our in-house marketing expert, you will act as the voice of the customer and will work across teams to ensure that we are consistently delivering a cohesive and best-in-class experience for our customers.

This position will report to our Director of Corporate Development and will be full-time, paid based on a yearly salary. The position is onsite at company headquarters.

Responsibilities include:
 
Customer Insights, Market Research, and Strategy Development
  • Speak to existing customers, create user surveys, and use free online tools to conduct market research with the help of internal and external partners, to better understand who our customers are, what they care about, and what interests them.
  • Create different audience personas based on our customer needs, buyer journeys, and uses for our products.
  • Turn customer insights into messages and programs that resonate, and champion the customer needs across the company, such as with the Product Team for key features needed or with Support for training needs.
  • Develop a cohesive content strategy and marketing plan that’s tailored to meet our customers’ needs where they are.
  • Stay up to date with marketing best practices, new digital technologies, marketing and content platforms, and social media best practices.
  • Listen and engage in relevant discussion about our company, competitors, and/or industry, both from existing customers and from new audiences.
  • Stay on top of the competition in this market segment. Develop competitive overviews and keep the product and sales teams informed about changes in the competitive landscape. Be a champion for new features that are important to stay ahead of the competition.
 
Product Expertise & Brand Stewardship
  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and the value they provide to our customers.
  • Develop a cohesive brand narrative (voice, tone, and personality).
  • Champion and enforce brand standards for voice, tone, and visual design.
  • Align content strategy and production across the organization: campaigns, web, product marketing, social media, and corporate communications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, to ensure messaging consistency and alignment, information accuracy, and quality.
  • Work with executive management, product development, sales, customer service, photography, and graphic design from strategy conceptualization to final asset delivery.
  • Manage internal and external creative partners, including our company photographer and in-house designer, to direct on-location photo shoots, choose final product images, and update product materials such as User Guides, Product Sheets, Product labels, etc.
 
Content Creation & Management Across all Channels
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar across all brands.
  • Create and manage engaging, relevant content for product marketing, thought leadership, customer and prospect engagement, brand awareness, and industry leadership in English (and Spanish as needed).
  • Manage the company’s existing social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Keep your finger on the pulse and determine whether we should join and create a brand presence on emerging platforms.
  • Plan and execute targeted direct response marketing campaigns (direct mail, email marketing, digital, print, drip marketing, etc.).
  • Edit and translate marketing materials, product collateral, or other content created by other members of the organization as needed (Spanish to English or English to Spanish).
  • With the support of internal and external resources, you will write and create compelling, high-quality content that engages our different audiences across our different digital and traditional platforms.
 
Management of eCommerce Channels & Partners
  • Manage all content within Shopify, but not limited to creating landing pages, updating existing content, creating listings for new products, uploading images, and publishing content to our website.
  • Work with Amazon partner to review and approve assets and listings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to improve the overall look and content of the Hilton Trading Corp website, AccuBANKER corporate website, and SILVER by AB website.
  • Provide strategic guidance to and oversight of SEO agency, monitoring performance and making recommendations for content and/or campaign optimization.
 
Participation in Product Design
  • Participate in brainstorming groups, design reviews, and UX/UI testing activities.
  • Modify and revise existing designs to meet changing customer preferences, while maintaining operational efficiencies and budgets.
  • Develop new ideas to solve business problems for customers; look outward for new ideas and industry trends.
  • Work with the product development team to create or improve UX/UI and features through the lens of growth and scalability.
 
Support of Company Growth Initiatives
  • Optimize and scale new & existing acquisition channels including tradeshows & conferences, SEO, SEM, display, social media ads, etc.
  • Participate in the global marketing effort with the goal of increasing effectiveness, as measured by sales, company revenue, profits, consumer preference, and usage.
  • Establish, track, & status all asset deliverables.
  • Develop and implement integrated brand strategy (essence, positioning, equity, etc.) across all brands and lines of business.
 
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5+ years in a similar role (Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Content Marketing, Digital Marketing, Editorial, Product Marketing)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) from four-year college or university
  • Excellent communicator with strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate documents from English to Spanish, or vice versa, as needed
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven with a strong ability to manage multiple projects at once, in a fast-paced environment
  • An eye for design and a firm understanding of user experience, comfortable providing creative direction to designers, photographers, and other freelancers; and/or working with them to create, review and approve assets
  • eCommerce Experience with Shopify and Amazon platforms is preferred
  • A background in product marketing and/or SEO is a plus
  • Proven ability to build consensus and resolve conflict
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to work extended hours when necessary
  • Comfortable with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Comfortable with social media tools for content creation, management, and reporting
