The Corporate Communications department at Publix spearheads internal communications and press releases, publishes monthly newsletters and annual benefits notices, handles department-specific communications, and manages digital content for Publix's internally facing platforms.
Within the department, the Associate Digital Communications Specialist is responsible for developing and executing communication plans to support current digital platforms internal to Publix for our associate. The position also serves as a subject matter expert (SME) to ensure digital user experiences on these platforms are intuitive and easy for our associates to use.
This Associate Digital Communications Specialist position supports the corporate communications department’s mission, which is to impact organizational performance by creating brand advocates in our associates and retirees.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related area (or equivalent experience)
- two (2) years of experience with business writing and communicating with various levels of management
- one (1) year of experience working in a content management system

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Digital Communications or related area
- two (2) years of retail experience (not Publix specific)
- two (2) years of experience with Publix support areas with proven experience with business writing and communicating with various levels of management
- two (2) years of experience working in any of the content management systems Publix uses (Sitecore, WordPress and/or Content Center)
- one (1) year of identifying trends using research
- one (1) year of digital design experience
- experience with information architecture concepts and best practices
- APR or ABC (Accredited in Public Relations or Business Communications)
- UXC or UXMC (user experience certification or master’s certification)

Year End Bonus:
To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
