Digital Media Planner

 
ICON is looking for a Digital Media Planner to work within the Digital Media department and build effective media plans for clients that incorporate all aspects of digital (display, video, native, programmatic, etc.). The candidate will have a strong background in Digital Media, either at an agency, publisher, or client direct, and will be able manage a campaign from strategy to negotiations to implementation to reporting. The Digital Media Planner will work closely with ICON’s Programmatic, Ad Operations, and Finance teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop digital media recommendations with supporting rationale
  • Build media plans based on client objectives and strategies, working closely with Digital Media Manager
  • Work within ICON’s campaign and budgeting tools to ensure accurate records of media and financial transactions
  • Negotiate with media vendors to achieve the most efficient pricing for ICON clients
  • Manage buys, and recommend tactical changes to maximize campaign performance
  • Ensure accurate campaign information for ad server upload
  • Assist in analysis of research to develop strategies and tactics
  • Work with analytics, trafficking, ad-serving, and finance departments as part of the media management process
  • Manage day-to-day plan changes and maintenance of media plans
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
  • Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships interdepartmentally as well as with those outside the team
  • Stay current with industry trends
  • Develop vendor relationships

Experience:
  • 1-3 years experience specific to digital media planning/buying
  • Knowledge of digital media including Mobile, Video, Programmatic, OTT, etc
  • Experience with entering placements into an ad server (Google Campaign Manager)
  • Knowledge of all Search, Social, Programmatic
  • Strong Excel skills, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills a plus
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
  • Strong communication and time management skills
