Upper School Choral Director/ Performing Arts Teacher
McDonogh School is in search of an Upper School Choral Music Teacher with a passion for creating dynamic and student-centered educational experiences. A strong candidate possesses the ability to utilize a wide range of artistic media in order to develop students’ creative confidence, curiosity, and technical ability. It is essential that they possess a breadth of artistic and educational experience in addition to a strong understanding of choral conducting and vocal ensemble. The candidate must be comfortable working in a high-energy and fast-paced environment within which the facilitation and management of numerous student projects occur simultaneously. Additionally, the applicant needs to be willing and excited to work with a team that embraces continual ideation, reflection, and development for the advancement of an ever-evolving arts program.

Essential Functions
- Inspiring, engaging, and encouraging students in the study of music and performing arts
- Using professional growth opportunities to continually grow as an arts educator
- Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Upper School Arts department, as well as any and all other upper school departments
- Becoming an active member of the McDonogh community by participating in school activities inside and outside of the arts department
- Overtly supporting and acting in accordance with the school's mission
- Exhibit professional standards of presentation, punctuality, professional courtesy, and discretion
- Respond to the needs of the School, including but not limited to, service learning, advisory programs, coaching, assigned supervision, and other areas as determined by the Upper School Head
