Content Operations Intern - Summer 2022

Program Duration: May 31 - August 19, 2022
INTERN WILL LEARN AND BE EXPOSED TO: The Content Operations Department, the central coordinating body for content production resources. As a Content Operations intern, you will be part of the dynamic team that supports our internal radio, podcast and digital teams and Member stations with day to day and special coverage logistics as well as with the implementation and adoption of content production systems and tools.
This is a part-time internship of up to 40 hours a week.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn about content operations and the specific work of the team
- Assist with incoming work and resource requests
- Assist with equipment check-in/check-out procedures
- Create training procedures/manuals and multimedia content as assigned
- Assist with coordinating training and follow up check-ins with users
- Monitor Slack channels managed by the Ops Team and respond or flag questions for follow-up
- Help disseminate ops information through Slack and other forms of communication
- Participate in department and project meetings
- Seek opportunities to learn at all times
- Other duties as assigned
WHO CAN APPLY?
- LOCATION: This internship will be onsite at our Washington, DC office. But please note that there could be a need to pivot this internship to fully remote if pandemic related developments warrant that change.
- EDUCATION: Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Interest in or experience with radio, podcast or digital content production and distribution
- Strong organizational skills
- Familiarity with project management tools; Trello, Asana, Monday, etc.
- Experience with Google and Microsoft suite technologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a project and see it through from beginning to end
- Self-starter
- A fun and engaging personality who enjoys working together as a team
SCHEDULE
- Available to work weekdays between 9 – 5pm ET
