Digital Advertising Operations, Campaign Management Intern (National Public Media) - Summer 2022

Program Duration: May 31, 2022 - August 19, 2022
The Digital Advertising Operations intern will work to support Corporate Sponsorship for NPR. The department works directly with NPR’s sales, marketing, and design teams to implement digital sponsorship campaigns that promote sponsorship for NPR’s top-quality digital programming including, but not limited to: NPR.org, NPROne, TED Radio Hour, Planet Money, How I Built This, Invisibilia, etc.
They will handle everything from interfacing with both internal and external contacts to implementing and optimizing digital sponsorship campaigns. The Intern will also work daily with Digital Campaign Managers and assist with daily tasks relating to digital display and podcasting initiatives.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Digital Campaign team to deliver on campaign deliverables, including reporting, vetting of creative to ensure that it adheres to NPR’s Digital Guidelines, screenshot decks and audio deliverables.
- Implement, monitor, and optimize online sponsorship campaigns using Google DoubleClick for Publishers and AdsWizz Audioserve in a timely and accurate manner
- Review and approve digital banners through Google’s AdExchange to help drive programmatic revenue on NPR.org and NPR Apps
- Communicate with internal departments (marketing, sales), and external sponsors
- Assist in maintaining NPR’s Sponsorship Directory
- Facilitate department projects and strategic initiatives
WHO CAN APPLY?
- LOCATION: This internship has the flexibility to be onsite at one of our offices (DC, Chicago, LA, NYC), fully remote**, and/or a hybrid version of the two based on the intern’s preference.
- **Fully remote NPM interns must live in one of the following states: California, Washington, D.C., Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, or Virginia.
- EDUCATION: Must be a current student in an accredited degree program or a recent graduate of no more than 12 months from the month of the start of the internship.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, project management experience, and exude both creativity and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must have attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a larger team, and possess excellent organizational skills
- Must be proficient in Excel and comfortable working with formulas, and pivot tables
- Enthusiasm for public media, its mission and its programs
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Experience in ad-serving platform such as Google Ad Manager 360 or AdsWizz.
- Previous order management system such as Operative.One
- Prior task management system experience is nice to have, Trello or ClickUp experience a plus
SCHEDULE
- Interns are required to work Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
