Revenue Manager - Remote (United States, REMOTE)
Cornerstone is seeking a Revenue Manager. This position requires an individual who is smart, detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative, and goals oriented. The person best fit for this position will be a strong leader of a diverse team of revenue accountants at various levels while setting a good example and being an effective partner throughout the organization. This person must be able to communicate effectively both within and outside of the organization at a high level.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the daily operations of the revenue team to drive quality and efficiency
- Manage the revenue monthly and quarterly close procedures to ensure timely and accurate closing of the books for internal and external reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements
- Support on-boarding of new team members, including ownership of training content
- Support revenue improvements to streamline and scale our existing financial systems and operations
- Support acquisition integration from a revenue perspective, as necessary
- Manage a team of 2-3 professionals
- Establish, document, and/or manage documentations of policies, procedures, and best practices for the team
- Lead and/or assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned
- Liaise with internal and external groups, such as Billing, Collections, Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, Product, Internal Audit, External Audit as necessary
- Instill/support a culture of high-quality work, team collaboration and continuous improvement, including providing mentorship and coaching to the team of revenue accountants
- Provide coaching and performance feedback through one-on-one meetings, staff meetings and other communication as appropriate
Required Skills and Experience
- A bachelor’s degree related to accounting/finance or equivalent experience
- CPA Preferred
- 5+ years of related experience, including experience in either revenue recognition, revenue operations or finance operations
- 2+ years Big 4 or National Firm experience preferred
- Experience managing a team preferred
- Revenue recognition experience in a technology company, including ASC 606
- Demonstrated ability to make recommendations and influence outcomes
- Excellent team building and leadership skills with a focus on continual development, performance, accountability and self-motivation
- Track record of achieving results with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact upward and cross functionally and manage a large team
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with Enterprise SaaS business models
- Experience with customer contracts with multiple performance obligations
- Knowledge of NetSuite and Salesforce systems
