Specialist, Signage & Media Asset (Graphic Designer)

We are seeking a Specialist, Signage & Media Assets (land-based role) person who will report to the Manager of Onboard Marketing | Content Operations and is primarily responsible for the concept creation digital signage, digital content management and maintenance. This position also plays a support role for the onboard marketing collateral creation and update process. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Designs and edits digital signage using graphics, photography, video, and other media in accordance to brand guidelines to support onboard revenue areas and hotel operations. Creates manuals and timelines for successful deployment of digital content.
  • Manages digital signage issue tickets that are entered by shipboard teams on a timely manner. Edit content, troubleshoot issues and escalate to Entertainment Technical and IT teams as needed.
  • Manages Digital Signage Content Management System by creating and updating media files, playlists, schedules, channels and metadata.
  • Work with the Communications, HR and Environmental departments to ensure that the shore-side and shipboard employee communications screens and crew channel remain relevant and up-to-date with news, best practices, events and safety protocols.
  • Manage printed signage requests tickets that are entered by shipboard teams on a timely manner. Ensure that all requests are approved and that they meet the operational needs while meeting our goals of cost reduction and environmental impact.
  • Create and update informational signage and keep Brand Center portal up to date with images and usage guidelines. Upload printable files in shared folders for the Print Shop managers on board each ship to download.
  • Review assets submitted by internal partners and concessionaires to ensure that they are properly licensed, meet branding, ethical standards, and meet format specifications.
  • Update the in-cabin guests Safety Channel, Crew Channel and Good to Know channel as requested by the Communications Department.
  • Create design mockups to support creative visualization of new projects. Manage presentations used for onboard events including but not limited to Fun Aboard Fun Ashore (FAFA), Debark Show, Military appreciation, Lido events, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associates Degree in Graphic Design / Marketing
  • Minimum two years of relevant work experience
  • Graphic design a must. Must be highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects and PowerPoint. Video editing, Scala Enterprise, and Excel are a plus.
  • Proven ability to learn new system. Must be open minded, friendly with the ability to work with other teams, liaise with upper management and adapt to changes.
  • Experienced with Content Management Systems and Digital Design integration preferred.
  • Must be highly creative, organized, resourceful, problem solver, approachable and supportive.
