STARTING SALARY: $2,300 biweekly

JOB DUTIES (SUMMARY):
· Manages and directs all Building Services operations of the Hamilton County Job and Family Services. Plans and oversees contractual building services (e.g., maintenance, security, safety, stockroom, warehouse, grounds, housekeeping, garage, motor pool, mail, etc.); plans large and small work projects, schedules workflow, coordinates priorities, provides direction and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and rules. Serves as primary administrator for all HCJFS building services equipment (projectors, security cameras and alarms systems, TVs, etc.) to ensure system and service availability, managing specifications and bidding and purchasing of systems if applicable. Oversees the implementation, installation and user training as provided by the system supplier. Prepares and manages assigned budget and projects recommended changes.
· Supervises and manages assigned building services staff in performance of job duties and responsibilities (e.g., plans projects, schedules work flow; coordinates priorities; provides direction and ensures work complies with established policy and procedure; administers verbal and written discipline, evaluates employee performance; adjusts grievances, approves leaves, etc.).
· Acts as liaison between the agency and County Facilities staff and all contractual document shredding, security, warehouse and parking garage contract contacts.
· Designs and maintains technical drawings and documentations of the building layout and infrastructure. Coordinates the use of office space, furniture, and movement of staff throughout the agency
· Manages mail room operations, including physical mail delivery and document imaging processing of mail. Ensures all mail (external, intra-office, inter-office) is sorted and delivered timely and accurately (including physical mail documents and imaged documents).
· Attends meetings to provide input into the development of departmental and agency goals. Recommends policies and procedures as appropriate.
· Participates in technical and non-technical training to remain proficient in the industry.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION):
· Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, structural or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university; AND three (3) years of experience managing building operations and maintenance
· OR Associate degree in construction management, architecture, structural or mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university; AND five (5) years of experience managing building operations and maintenance
· OR seven (7) years of experience managing building operations and maintenance
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: (*Indicates can be developed after employment)
· Knowledge of: department policies and procedures; government structure and process; federal, state and local laws purchasing; basic accounting; computer data processing systems; public relations; networking concepts; supervision; cost estimation.
· Ability to: define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions; prepare meaningful, concise and accurate reports; gather, collate and classify information about data, people or things; handle sensitive inquires from contacts with officials and general public; develop and maintain effective working relationships with associates, supervisor and the general public; communicate effectively in oral and written form; compile data, analyze information and formulate viable conclusions; post information accurately to records; accurately project annual requirements; control expenditures within budgetary guidelines; calculate fractions, decimals and percentages; analyze problems and recommend viable solutions; develop project plans; install, maintain, debug, calibrate and update computer hardware, software and network hardware; work with a variety of computer hardware and software problems; negotiate the obtainment of hardware, software and services from vendors.
· Skill In: electronic and mechanical system troubleshooting and repair techniques; safety practices and procedures; analyzing and solving complex system problems; developing detailed system specifications and documentation; use of relational databases and communications software.

BACKGROUND CHECKS REQUIRED:
Background checks consistent with requirements in OAC 5101:2-5-09 must be completed at employment and every ten years following, including but not limited to the following systems:
· State Automated Child Welfare Information System (SACWIS)
· State Child/Abuse Neglect Central Registry Check for any state in which the applicant resided within the last five years
· Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification Investigation (BCI)
· FBI
· National Sex Offender Public website (WWW.NSOPW.Gov) Code 5101:2-5-09 must be conducted for each prospective employee
