Global Business Development Intern (post-graduate)
Position Overview
TED is seeking a pro-active and energetic Intern to join its growing Global Business Development group. Serving as TED’s core growth and revenue-oriented team, the Global Business Development group is charged with bringing TED content to audiences around the world in accessible, innovative, and intuitive ways. The Intern provides support to the team at all stages of business development–-from conducting market research, analyzing data, reviewing financial statements, and preparing reports, to developing strategies, negotiating deals, and assisting in partner management.

Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business intelligence, financial information, audience data, etc.
- Build an innovative business plan for launch of TED content in key international markets.
- Help create strategic plans to further TED’s revenue goals and extend audience reach.
- Assist in the creation of overview presentations and partner engagement materials.
- Help organize meetings and virtual events.
- Support the Global Business Development team with its day-to-day operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree; candidates for Graduate Degree, MBA, or JD are a PLUS.
- Demonstrable interest in and basic understanding of international business and the media industry.
- Endless curiosity in other people and cultures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Fluency in a foreign language or significant experience of living outside the U.S.
