We Are….
We deliver the best entertainment shopping experience in the world. Our Disney Hospitality Leadership Program retail interns oversee a retail operation with an emphasis on Guest service, financial objectives, inventory control, product replacement and presentation. Ensure product offerings are amply supplied and properly displayed to enable Guest satisfaction and financial success.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Minimum one year demonstrated leadership experience
- Minimum three months retail experience
- Proven knowledge of financial aspects of a retail operation
- Knowledge of the retail industry and a passion for delivering an outstanding service experience
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
- Demonstrated strong written and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proven ability to function effectively in a team environment
Demonstrated strong computer proficiency within a Windows environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior or current experience with The Walt Disney Company
- Demonstrated multilingual skills, particularly Creole, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese
Required Education
College senior, recent graduate or graduate level student
Internship Eligibility:
- At the time of application, must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
- Must possess unrestricted work authorization
- Must provide full work availability
- Must provide own transportation to/from work
- Current Active Disney Cast Members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World Cast Members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland Cast Members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: This is a 12- month internship. The approximate dates of this internship are June 2022 through June 2023. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
