Summer 2022 Operations Intern

About Us

NYTLicensing is the content licensing division of The New York Times Company. We
empower companies to connect with their audiences, using world-class journalism and
content curation to elevate experiences and engage customers. We help organizations
of all sizes streamline communications, supplement existing marketing campaigns and
drive growth. We traditionally served other media organizations with our licensed
content. It is now our goal to generate awareness of the NYTLicensing brand and drive
revenue growth in new markets.

About our Team

The Sales Operations intern will work on a customer onboarding and retention project
with a focus on the customer experience. It will include a focus on customer service,
onboarding clients, and designing a customer engagement strategy throughout their
licensing subscription period. You will also develop skills around writing reports,
managing time and priorities, owning projects and deadlines, and conducting thorough
research and analysis that leads to effective recommendations.

As a Licensing Sales Operations intern, you will:

  • Gather information on existing customer service and practices. This includes onboarding, customer complaints and resolution, and/or other responses depending on the clients' needs.
  • You will interact with regional sales teams to understand main challenges and assess existing processes.
  • Create a report that highlights strengths and weaknesses of our current processes.
  • Work on a strategy for opportunities for short-term improvements in customer service and retention.
  • Review and advise on improvements to existing customer service documents and processes.

About You:

Are you passionate about business? Do you want to understand how operations
intersects with sales? Within this team, you will be at the center of business growth.

  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication/presentation skills
  • Curious, eager to learn
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Courses or major in Business, Business Administration, etc.preferred
  • Data analysis experience
  • Interest in processes design
  • Knowledge or interest in customer satisfaction
 
About Our Summer Internship:

  • The internship is paid
  • It is 10 weeks long, starting on or around June 6, 2022
  • You will work remotely
