Internship – Universal Creative: Graphic Design/Signage Fabrication (Summer 2022)
Summer Semester: Internship dates are approximately from late May 2022- mid August 2022.
JOB SUMMARY: This internship opportunity will provide an opportunity to assist the Graphics Manager with management, organization, and review of graphic design/sign packages for projects. The ideal candidates will learn operational design and how to balance Intellectual Property requests with operational and park standards, storytelling, as well as sign fabrication methods.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Modifying existing designs, managing lists, submittals and reviews.
- Organization of assets, creating presentations and original pieces will also be requested.
- Reviewing/updating of all planned themed and operational graphics.
- Developing new graphics and signs.
- Assisting with development of presentation decks, coordination of graphics matrices, location planning, etc.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
- Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
- Minimum cumulative 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- An official transcript will be required upon request.
- Preferred majors include: Graphic Design, Themed Entertainment Design
EXPERIENCE: Prior internship experience related to position is preferred.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Skills for success in role includes but is not limited to:
Required:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Powerpoint
- Hand letter skills
- Coursework in dimensional design
- Familiarity with Universal Orlando products and related IPs

- This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
- Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than August 2022.
- Universal Orlando does not provide housing. Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
