Instructional Design Intern (Aussie Grill)
POSITION SUMMARY
Bloomin’ Brands, the parent company to Outback Steakhouse, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill, Fleming’s Prime Steak House, Aussie Grill and Tender Shack, is seeking an intern who is currently pursuing a career in training and development. This opportunity will allow a student to apply their education to practical business issues as they assist with restaurant training programs and initiatives, including hourly and compliance training. Additional responsibilities include directly supporting the successful design, development, implementation, maintenance, tracking, and promotion of educational programs, initiatives, materials, and tools to support the learning needs of the organization.
PRIMARY PROJECTS / TASKS & RESPONSABILITIES
· Assist in the identification and analysis of individual and group knowledge/performance gaps among hourly staff and implement appropriate solutions using appropriate resources.
· Assist with the maintenance of new hourly Associate training program.
· Collaborate with cross-functional business partners and participate in job shadowing to identify training needs
· Assist with the design, production and delivery of training materials for new restaurant openings.
· Facilitate hands-on training when appropriate
· Partner with training team to continuously improve quality of materials, instruction, and training methods

PREFERRED SKILLS
· Casual restaurant experience is helpful
· Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional systems design
· Strong time-management skills
· Demonstrated experience using Articulate, Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Office productivity suite
