Junior Production Artist

Job Summary
 
Oldcastle APG is looking for a quick and detail-driven self-starter to join our in-house design team. We are a small, tightknit group looking for the right fit. As a core member of the design team, your duties would include technical execution of various marketing pieces, collaboratively and proactively supporting fellow designers and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign).
 
  • Create solutions under the direction of creative lead following style guides and templates
  • Revise files accurately and efficiently through multiple rounds of reviews, coordinating with the designers, brand team and field marketers to implement changes
  • Support our content team creating web, blog and social media assets, including reusable assets and templates (as needed) to facilitate and reduce production times, for multiple brands with the opportunity to pitch content
  • Image manipulation to include silos, retouching, and simple color correction
  • Maintain constant communication with Design Team Lead and Production Team Lead regarding project status
  • Help prepare for presentations including printing/trimming/binding of materials and mounting presentation boards as necessary
 
Requirements
 
  • Experience with page layout, paragraph and character styles and an understanding of 4-color process and spot-color printing a must. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Communication a plus
  • Strong digital portfolio with print and digital design executions
  • Previous experience with content creation or social media asset creation a plus
  • HTML5, animation and motion media experience a plus
  • UX design experience a plus
  • Basic understanding (or willingness to learn) Microsoft Office Suite (PPT, DOCX, XLSX)
  • Great communication skills; team player who thrives in a collaborative project environment with ongoing deadlines
